Job Title: Production Worker
Location: 746 Warden Avenue, Scarborough, ON
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $17–$18 an hour
Production assembly and warehouse labor in a clean environment with a small manufacturer in Scarborough Ontario. This job requires a decent degree of physical dexterity as the job includes material handling and lifting. The skills needed for this job are the daily use of assembly tools including riveters, punching machines, test instruments & power screw drivers. This position requires the ability to follow assembly instructions exactly with quality control functions for each product assembled, packaged & stocked. Additional valued skills include the ability to work positively with others in a team environment, familiarity. Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare primary & secondary component parts for assembly operations
- Assemble & test electronic components for staged assembly
- Use power tools to cut or assemble metal parts
- Medium weightlifting of parts & finished goods
- Loading the finished goods on Skids
- Warehouse material handling, skidding and storing
- Weekly cleaning of the workspace
Qualifications
- Basic English skills to communicate & follow the instructions.
- Good work ethic
- Ability to perform multiple assembly operations.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg unassisted basis
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal parts assembly or use of handheld electrical tools
- Positive attitude & good team player
Working conditions
- Clean factory floor
- Coveralls, gloves and safety items provided.
- Morning and afternoon & lunch hour breaks
- 8 hour work day – 8:00 AM to 4.30PM – 5 day work week Mo-Fr
- Two weeks paid vacation after 1 year of employment.
- Overtime not required
