Job Summary
Screenco is seeking individuals with a good work ethic, who are interested in pursuing a career in a manufacturing factory that produces screens for the window and door industry. As general labourer, you are a key production worker who is tasked to perform many duties and jobs in our warehouse by the department supervisor and/or the plant manager in a safe manner. These important manufacturing jobs enable Screenco to be the leading supplier to window and door manufacturers in North America.
Essential Job Functions
Can include some or all of the following:
- · Measure parts using a tape measure (imperial and metric units)
- · Assemble parts
- · Label parts
- · Operate machinery (training provided)
- · Follow operating procedures and specifications
- · Handle, lift and transport materials
- · Check that parts meet quality specifications
- · Complete production log sheets
- · Clean and/or organize workspaces or areas of the warehouse/factory
- · Lubricate and/or maintain equipment
- · Work with the production team to meet daily targets
- · Assist other associates with duties

Qualifications and Skills
- · Good communicator who can follow instructions and ask for clarification
- · Manual dexterity to use tools and machines
- · Physical strength to lift and/or move products
- · Stamina to stand on feet most of the shift
- · Ability to complete repetitive tasks
- · Available for overtime
- · Forklift experience is an asset
- · Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- · Production/Manufacturing experience in a continuous improvement workplace is an asset
- · Previous experience in the fenestration industry is an asset
