THE OPPORTUNITY

The Home Hardware Debert Dealer Support Centre has multiple openings for term Material Handlers on the Day, Afternoon and Night shifts. As a Material Handler you are responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout all areas of the Distribution Centre by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.

  • Responsible to the Shift Supervisor for helping to maintain service levels to Home Hardware Dealers.
  • Contributing to the smooth flow of merchandise through the Distribution Centre.
    Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Operate material handling equipment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to complete all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the shift such as picking, put away, receiving and shipping.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Good attendance record and punctuality is a requirement.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Must be willing to be trained on powered lift equipment.
  • Demonstrate high-quality accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent reading and number skills.
  • A reliable team player with a great attitude and work ethic.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling,
  • pushing, etc. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without difficulty on a consistent basis is needed.
