The prizes are awarded annually to undergraduate or postgraduate students who have completed an essay or a thesis on an aspect of the European Union and are judged to be most worthy of the award.And the prizes are awarded on the recommendation of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations in consultation with the academic staff and Head of Programme in Political Science and International Relations.
