About the Job

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, with possible overtime.

This position participates in the distribution warehouse activities related to selecting, staging, loading/unloading, receiving, and storing of products in a safe and efficient manner.

What Does It Take to be a Warehouse Worker at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Forklift Certification preferred.
• Must have previous experience Picking and Coordination of loading trucks.
• Previous Experience in warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Must have experience in handling heavy warehouse equipment.
• Must understand and be able to operate handheld computer and scanning devices for Warehouse management system.
• Computer skills and SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations systems is an asset.
• Requires strong oral written and communication skills.

What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Worker

• Correctly select, palletize, shrink wrap and stage (per truck) customer orders preparing them for delivery.
• Safely load trucks/trailers in an even and productive fashion.
• Unload the inbound trucks, receiving products and moving them to their designated locations.
• Rotate and replenish current stock in its designated location to maintain FIFO inventory system.
• Perform pre-shift inspection on forklifts, electric rider jacks, electric pallet jacks and pallet wrap machines and maintain the highest possible personal safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of entire warehouse and practice safe food handling procedures by learning and practicing IFS and
• AIB standards for warehouse sanitation.

• Physical duties involved in performing this position include but are not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, bending, standing, crouching, reaching overhead, and climbing.
• Team members must also be able to lift 50-75 lbs., occasionally 100 lbs. Position supplies constant and continuous support to production and other departments.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Temperature fluctuates with the season – colder during the winter/warmer during the summer.
